Terms and Conditions
Booking Date: the date on which the Customer makes the original booking for the Event.
Charge: the charge payable by the Customer for the Entry.
Contract: the agreement comprising the Order and these Terms.
Customer: the person booking the Entry.
Entry: the registration to attend the Event.
Event: the event for which the Customer has booked an Entry.
Event Date: the date scheduled for the Event.
Order: the Customer’s order for an Entry.
Venue: the venue where the Event is held.
Written: and any similar expression includes e-mail.
1. Business Customers Only
1.1 Entry is available to business customers only and not to consumers.
1.2 Attende registration is open to current Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCT) and MCT Alumni with a valid MCID.
1.3 Exceptions to the above are for incoming MCTs who have qualified and attended an Approved Technical Trainer Course and are awaiting qualification confirmation or conference sponsors and exhibitors.
2.1 Payments are accepted by credit card or debit card only. If the Customer selects "Save and Pay Later" the Entry is not confirmed.

2.3 The Customer’s Entry is not confirmed until MCTSummit has received payment, and payment must be received before the Event. If MCTSummit fills all available spaces, any unconfirmed places will be void.
3.1 Discounts are applied before local tax. The Discounts and Early Bird / Full Price calculator are applied based on your Booking Date. If the Customer modifies the Order after submission then discounts may be recalculated.
3.2 Payment must be received before the end of any discount period, to be eligible for the discount. Bookings made before a discount date, but paid afterwards will result in the new price being charged.
3.3 If using a discount code it must be entered at the time of booking. Codes entered after the booking has been confirmed or payment received will not be honoured, and no refunds will be issued.
3.4 Volume discounts are available on request from email@example.com and are based on all attendees being added to the booking and paid for as part of a single transaction. If additional registrations are added to an existing group booking, they will not be eligible.
4.1 The Customer may substitute a delegate at any time prior to the Event starting, by amending the registration details online. Any special requirements, including changes in dietary requirements notified less than 14 days before the Event will be accommodated at the MCTSummit discretion.
5. Warranties and Content
5.1 MCTSummit warrants to the Customer that it will use reasonable skill and care in organising and holding the Event.
5.2 MCTSummit will provide content at the Event substantially in accordance with the advertised content, but MCTSummit reserves the right to substitute speakers or provide content remotely if necessary.
6.1 The Customer may cancel a registration up to 30 days before the Event start date with an administration fee of 40% of the cost. For registrations cancelled 30 days or less before the Event MCTSummit offers no refund. Group discounts will be re-calculated following cancellations, and any refund due will be less the group discount monies if no longer applicable.
6.2 Where possible refunds will be made to the original payment card. In some cases refunds may be paid by cheque in pounds sterling. Refunds will be made after the Event, using the billing details provided with the initial payment. No alternative details will be used.
7. Obligations of Customer
7.1 The Customer will comply with the MCTSummit code of conduct, such other reasonable rules which MCTSummit may communicate to the Customer in respect of the Event, the rules of the owner/operator of the Event premises and all applicable laws and relevant regulatory obligations;
7.2 MCTSummit shall have the right to terminate this Contract and eject the Customer for any breach of this section 7.
8. Rescheduling and Switch to Virtual Event
8.1 MCTSummit shall, due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of MCTSummit, have the right to reschedule the event within 12 months.
8.2 If the Event is rescheduled, all tickets will be transferred to the new Event.
8.3 If, due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of MCTSummit, the Event cannot be held as a physical event, then MCTSummit shall have the right to switch to a virtual event (Virtual Event). The Virtual Event will have substantially the same content as the Event.
8.4 If there is a switch to a Virtual Event, MCTSummit will reduce the Charge by 40% and provide the Customer with a refund of the balance.
9.1 Subject to section 9.3, MCTSummit shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, any loss of profits or any loss of business, whether arising from tort, breach of contract, indemnity or otherwise under or in connection with the Contract.
9.2 Subject to section 9.3, MCTSummit's liability in respect of all claims, losses or damages of whatever nature, whether arising from tort, breach of contract, indemnity or otherwise under or in connection with the Contract shall not exceed the Charge paid by the Customer to MCTSummit under the Contract.
9.3 Nothing in the Contract shall exclude or limit either party’s liability for any death or personal injury caused by negligence or for any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law.
9.4 Subject to section 9.3, MCTSummit shall have no liability for any loss, theft, damage or destruction to the Customer’s property.
10. Force Majeure
MCTSummit shall not be liable to the Customer for any failure or delay in performing any of its obligations to the extent that such failure or delay is caused by an event beyond its reasonable control.
11. Data Protection
12.1 The Contract represents the entire agreement between the parties in relation to the subject matter and supersedes all previous agreements, representations or understandings between the parties. The parties agree that they shall have no rights or remedies in relation to any representation or warranty that is not included in the Contract.
12.2 The Customer shall not assign, sub-contract, delegate, or otherwise transfer any of its rights or obligations under the Contract without the prior written consent of MCTSummit.
12.3 The parties agree that they will represent each other's business in a positive light and not disparage or in any way communicate to any person (including, but not limited to, any customer, vendor, sponsor or news media) any negative information or opinion concerning the business of the other party or the Event itself.
12.4 MCTSummit may amend the Event as required by law or in order to comply with any relevant regulatory obligations or venue requirements.
12.5 If any provision of these Terms is held by competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part the validity of the other Terms and of the remainder of the provision in question will not be affected. Every provision is severable from every other.
12.6 No single or partial exercise or failure or delay in exercising any right, power of remedy by a party under the Contract, howsoever arising, shall operate as a waiver by that party of, or impair or preclude any further exercise of that right, power of remedy. Any waiver to be effective must be in writing.
12.7 The Contract will be governed by the law of Switzerland, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swiss courts.
